The lake starts at the end of the lawn.
A four-bedroom house on Lake June in Winter, with a rustic boardwalk through half an acre of marsh, a private dock with a sunning deck, and the sunsets over the cove to yourself.
Modern comfort, old-Florida calm.
The house sits on a quiet cove at the northwest end of Lake June in Winter, in the Florida Heartland. Inside it is modern and spacious — open kitchen, deep sofas, a gas fireplace nobody in Florida really needs, and enough room that eight people are never in each other's way. You have the whole house and the garage to yourselves.
Outside is the reason you came. A screened porch with a grill for the hours when the bugs win, a fire pit for the evenings, and a rustic boardwalk that carries you through the marsh to the dock and its sunning deck.
Front-row seats to the sunset.
The dock is yours for the stay, with space for two small boats — a wake boat or a center console under 40 feet, kayaks, jet skis. The free ramp at H.L. Bishop Park is three miles down the road, with plenty of parking, so you can trailer in and run your boat to the dock.
Mornings are flat and quiet enough to hear the cranes. Evenings the cove turns the color of the sky, and the sunning deck gives you a raised seat for it.
